Learn to play an instrument, be smarter, look cooler.

Did you know that learning to play an instrument can make you smarter? Seriously! Learning to play music is one of the few activities that is known to use both sides of your noggin' (thats brain, for you intelectuals). Not to mention how cool you would look with a guitar in hand or sitting behind a grand piano tickling the ivories!

They (really smart scientists) have done studies and discovered that the average musician or composer encompasses both the analytical traits of the left brain and the more creative aspects of the right brain. The right brain, often considered the more subjective and creative hemisphere, focuses on the melody in music. The left hemisphere, considered the analytical part of the brain, is responsible for the understanding of musical structure and motor skills, such as playing the violin.

Need help with your motor skills? Many studies have shown that children who had three years or more musical instrument training performed better than those who didn’t learn an instrument in auditory discrimination abilities and fine motor skills.

Need better grades? Recent studies show that students who study the arts are more successful on standardized tests such as the SAT. They also achieve higher grades in high school.

Lake Worth has so many great artists and musicians. Its time Lake Worth trains the next generation to continue the tradition!
  Creative Arts Academy

wants to 'impart the arts, empower intellect, and train life-long musicians

So, don't waste anymore time under-utilizing that cranium of yours and start learning your favorite instrument! You will be glad you did.
